General Foreman

Quality Railway Services is looking to fill positions for our 2018-2019 season and to start a new career. We are looking for some General foreman that have knowledge in Track construction, Turnout construction, Track maintenance, Track protection. We are also open to eager employees that want to start a career with a very fast-growing company. We are hiring for work all over Alberta-Saskatchewan & British Columbia. We run off a 10-4 work cycle with competitive pay and the chance to grow and learn as a team

Position: General Foreman

 

Reports directly to superintendent and project manager, the leader is responsible for directing the crew to ensure we are within schedule or exceeding scheduled goals. The leader is in direct charge to ensure we have a safe work environment providing quality work. As a leader you must always be ready to plan for the worst case scenario and plan 3 steps ahead at all times, this way we can prepare and not be caught off guard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Planning of all day to day work

  • Complete dedication for safety

  • Reporting all productivity daily to senior

  • Responsible for all tailgates, daily briefings

  • Develop employees that will help grow our company

  • Strive for excellence

  • Planning for your next days work ahead of time

  • Perform all paperwork on time

  • Focus on following all of Quality Railway Services job procedures

  • Knowledge of all tools, equipment, job procedures

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license with a clean abstract

  • Railway experience

  • Clean criminal record check

  • Read and write

  • Lead a crew and develop them

  • Great hearing and vision

  • Physically fit

  • Minimum High school education
