Dalehurst to Pedley Double Track

Double-track construction between Dalehurst and Pedley including construction of 31,000 TF of new Class 5 concrete-tie mainline, installation of #20 double crossovers and nine (9) turnouts, thermite and butt welding of CWR, rail destressing, surfacing to design, realignment of 3,500 TF of existing track, removal of five (5) existing turnouts, and tear-out of existing back track.

Scope of Work:

• Construct 31,000 track feet (TF) of new Class 5 concrete-tie mainline track
• Install #20 double crossovers
• Install nine (9) turnouts
• Perform thermite welding on all turnouts and closure welds
• Surface and line all tracks to final design profile
• Realign 3,500 TF of existing track
• Remove 5 existing turnouts
• Tear out existing back track
• Destress CWR in accordance with design temperature requirements
• Butt-weld support
